Behind the platform is a fast-moving engineering organization, and we are now looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help us raise the bar on quality as we continue to scale.

This role is for someone who believes that quality is built into the process - not inspected at the end. You will play a key role in our move towards continuous delivery by shifting how we think about testing and quality left across the whole software development life cycle.

The role

Your overall mission is to shift testing left by coaching and empowering our developers to own testing as part of their daily work. Rather than acting as a traditional QA gatekeeper, you will build the frameworks, strategies, and culture that make high-quality releases a natural outcome of how we work.

You will own our overall testing strategy and work closely with engineering leadership to ensure that quality is an integrated part of how we design, build, and ship software.

What you’ll be doing

You will help build the testing foundation that supports high-quality software delivery across the organization. This includes designing and implementing testing strategies at the unit, integration, contact, and end-to-end levels, establishing solid production-like test data, and ensuring our CI pipelines provide fast and reliable feedback that developers trust.

You will coach teams in modern testing practices such as ATDD and BDD, help them write stable, isolated, and maintainable tests, and act as a sparring partner when new features, architectures, or workflows are designed.

You will also collaborate with product specialists and supporters as domain experts to understand real-world usage and turn requirements into clear, testable acceptance criteria. On complex or high-impact changes, you will perform exploratory testing to catch the kinds of issues that automation alone cannot.

Over time, you will become a domain expert in the PriceShape platform yourself and help ensure that documentation reflects how the system actually behaves.

What we’re looking for

You believe that quality is an engineering discipline, not a final verification step. You enjoy teaching, influencing, and helping teams improve how they build software.

We expect you to have most of the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role focused on QA, test automation, or quality strategy
  
  

• Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g. TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go)
  
  

• Hands-on experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or TestCafe
  
  

• Deep understanding of testing methodologies across the full Software Development Life Cycle
  
  

• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI pipelines and fast feedback loops
  
  

• The ability to influence engineers and senior stakeholders without becoming a blocker
  
  

• Language requirements: English (mandatory), Danish (an advantage)
  

We are not looking for a “bug hunter”. We are looking for a systems thinker who sees a high-priority bug as a failure in the development process - not just a failure in the code. Experience helping a team transition to a modern shift-left quality model is a strong plus.
